Article On Light (White Ray)

Light is at once both obvious and mysterious we are bathed in yellow warmth everyday and slave off the darkness with incandescent and fluorescent bulbs. But what exactly light is? Does light travel as a wave a ray or a stream of particles ? Is it a single color mixed together .

But light travel faster than anything in the universe then in 1999 researchers at Harvard University were able to slow a beam of light down to 38 miles per hour (61 kilometer per hour ) by passing it through a state of matter known as a Bose – Einstein Condensate . That’s almost 18 million times slower than normal . No one would have thought such feat possible just a few year ago this is the capricious way of light you have it  figured   out .

·       Diode Releases Energy

Free electrons moving across a diode can fall into a empty holes from the P- Type layer. This involves a drop from the conduction band to a lower orbital so electron releases energy in the form of photon. This happens in any diode but you can see the photon when diode is composed of certain material. The photons frequency is so slow  that it is invisible to human eye.

                        It is in the infrared portion of the light spectrum. (Infrared LED are ideal for remote control among other things.)
